Appraisal

This handsome country house, set in a mature landscape, is of apparent architectural form and detailing. The use of ornamentation is a notable feature of this house, the gables having decorative bargeboards and ornate crestings adorning the roof. The building retains many features and materials such as the slate roof and tooled limestone sills. The verandah over the entrance provides a central focus to the house.
