This robust monumental Gothic Revival gate, of substantial limestone construction with delicate wrought-iron detailing, is representative of the imaginative novelty and craftsmanship of the mid-nineteenth century. The gateway forms a grand and imposing entrance announcing the presence of Grantstown Hall beyond.
