Appraisal

This well-proportioned and tall building is located adjacent to the railway station and forms part of a group of structures built to serve the station. The very large façade is unusual in a rural location and is enhanced by features such as the timber sliding sash windows with decorative cornices and surrounds. Though no longer functioning as a railway hotel the building still holds a social function as a public house.
