Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1890, with shopfront to front (east) elevation. Pitched slate roof having rendered chimneystacks and render eaves course. Rendered walls with render strip quoins and plinth course. Rubble stone walls to north elevation. Square-headed openings having concrete sills, render surrounds and replacement uPVC windows. Those to first floor with continuous render sill course. Round-headed opening having fluted render pilasters and hoodmoulding over spoked fanlight and timber panelled door. Shopfront comprising timber pilasters supporting fascia. Square-headed display opening with fixed window. Recessed square-headed opening having half-glazed timber panelled door.
An elegantly proportioned house, which retains some of its original form and character, together with important salient features and materials. The entrance with robust render detailing and spoked fanlight is a distinguishing feature, as it is one of the few buildings with a round-headed entrance in the streetscape.
