Detached three-bay single-storey former lighthouse keeper's house, built 1909. Now in use as visitor centre. Recent extensions to south-west and north-east. Flat roof with rendered chimneystacks, ventilation cowls, iron rings and internal steel rainwater goods with associated cistern. Painted rendered walls with cornice. Square-headed openings with two-over-two timber sliding sash windows, internal shutters and concrete sills. Square-headed door opening with timber glazed door and overlight.
Set in a picturesque and dramatic location, this former keeper's house, constructed in association with the fog signal, retains its original form and features. Built as part of a larger complex, it forms part of a striking and significant group.
