Description

Freestanding demesne entrance arch, built c.1800. Coursed rubble limestone construction with plinth, string courses, and battlement. Pointed arch with dressed voussoirs.

Appraisal

An imposing arch which originally led to Ardnagashel House, now demolished. It is an indicator of the former grandeur of the demesne. The battlements of excellent limestone construction display attention to detail, also seen in the string courses and plinth.
