Single-arch road bridge, dated 1851, spanning disused railway line. Segmental-arch having ashlar limestone voussoirs and limestone block soffit. Ashlar limestone spandrels with platband and snecked tooled limestone parapets.
A robust road bridge built in the mid nineteenth century as part of the Cork Bandon and South Coast Railway. It serves as an excellent example of the high quality of craftsmanship that was employed in the construction of railway structures at the time. It is also a reminder of the extent of the railway network in the past.
