Triple-arch limestone road bridge, built c.1820, spanning Gearagh River. Segmental-arches with dressed limestone voussoirs, springing from limestone piers with V-cutwaters. Rubble limestone walls, abutments and parapets having dressed limestone string course and coping stones.
The simple and elegant form of this bridge is much enhanced by features such as a limestone stringcourse and interesting cutwaters. Spanning the Gearagh River, the bridge now serves as a pedestrian walkway and has been made redundant to vehicles as a new concrete structure has been constructed downstream. This bridge is a reminder of the craftsmanship employed in bridge building in the nineteenth century.
