Detached two-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, having three-bay south-elevation. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls. Camber-headed openings having six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows with limestone sills. Pedimented doorcase with engaged Ionic columns flanking timber panelled door with fanlight above. Outbuildings and glass house to north. Red brick piers and plinth walls to entrance to south, having wrought-iron railings and double-leaf gates.
A handsome classically inspired house, set on an elevated site, overlooking the town and surrounding countryside. Retaining much of its historic fabric intact, its setting and context are enhanced by the fine entrance to the south and related outbuildings to north.
