Terraced three-bay three-storey former house, built c.1770, currently in use as office. Recent two-storey addition to rear. Pitched slate and artificial slate roofs having red brick chimneystack, render coping to side (south-west) gable and render eaves course with cast-iron and uPVC rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered wall to front (south-east) elevation. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills having six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows to upper floors. Timber shopfront comprising engaged colonettes surmounted by architrave frieze and cornice with moulded consoles having floral motif. Fixed timber framed multiple-pane mullioned display windows to shopfront flanking square-headed door opening. Glazed timber door with painted door furniture and bipartite overlight.
This centrally located former domestic dwelling has maintained a significant amount of its historic fabric including sash windows and unusual off centre substantial chimneystack. The full width shopfront is a particularly fine later addition, which adds much character to the streetscape.
