Detached two-bay three-storey with dormer attic house, built c. 1870, having gabled end bay, three-stage turret, porch to west (front) and two-storey bay window to south gable. Pitched slate roofs with timber bargeboards and rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls having render cornice to porch and bay window. Pointed arch openings to dormers, porch, turret second stage and gables second storey, some having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows, others with replacement uPVC. Square-headed openings having replacement uPVC windows. Those to first floor having render continuous sill course. Pointed arch opening to porch with chamfered surround and half-glazed timber panelled door. Pair of rendered square-profile piers to south having cast-iron double-leaf gates.
One of a pair, this house is a notable example of late nineteenth century architecture. The complex plan, irregular roofline and use of gables and gablets are characteristic features of Tudor Revival style. The house is enhanced by the retention of its ornate timber bargeboards, which add artistic interest to the façade.
