Description

Terraced seven-bay three-storey building, c. 1880, having slate pitched roof, wide moulded window surrounds, string courses, and pubfront with cornice and carved stop ends; in use as public house and B & B; formerly three houses.

Appraisal

A large public house, one of a group associated with the railway station, retaining many decorative features such as moulded window surrounds and string courses. The building has two over two pane timber sash windows to the upper floors and timber windows with unusually shaped smaller panes within the pubfront. The building is well maintained and located on a prominent end of terrace site opposite the station.
