Description
End-of-terrace two-bay two-storey house, built c. 1899, having shared gable-fronted bay with the adjoining house to the east. Constructed as a group of ten with the adjoining houses to the east. Pitched slate roof having red brick chimneystack and terracotta finial. Red brick walls with limestone sills to window openings and having limestone threshold to front door. Replacement windows and door.
Appraisal
The gable-fronted facades of this terrace contrast with the more regular facades in this area of the city, and the scale and form of the group make a positive contribution to the streetscape. The materials utilised in the construction of these houses, such as the red brick, purple slate and terracotta add colour and textural interest to this notable group.
