Description

Detached three-bay three-storey house, dated 1816, on a rectangular plan; three-bay three-storey rear (west) elevation.  Hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles, paired red brick Running bond central chimney stacks having corbelled stepped stringcourses below capping supporting yellow terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on cut-limestone eaves with cast-iron downpipes.  Roughcast walls on rendered plinth with rusticated rendered piers to corners.  Segmental-headed central door opening with rendered surround framing timber panelled door having fanlight.  Square-headed window openings with drag edged cut-limestone sills, and rendered surrounds framing one-over-one (ground floor), six-over-six (first floor) or one-over-one (top floor) timber sash windows.  Round-headed central half-landing window opening to rear (west) elevation with drag edged cut-limestone sill, and rendered surround framing fanlight eight-over-eight timber sash window.  Square-headed window openings with drag edged cut-limestone sills, and rendered surrounds framing six-over-six timber sash windows.  Set in landscaped grounds with rear (west) elevation fronting on to street.
