Description

Freestanding barn-style gable-fronted former Roman Catholic church, founded c. 1735, rebuilt c. 1790 and in use until 1842. Now in use as community hall. Extension to rear, c. 1900. Repointed and refurbished, c. 1980. Pitched artificial slate roof. Ribbon pointed rubble stone walls with chamfered corner to shoulder level. Two cut stone plaques inserted to left of door. Round-headed opening to first floor with bipartite window. Square-headed opening to ground floor with cut stone lintel, supported by consoles. Segmental-arched opening to side entrance, having cut stone Gibbsian surround with double keystone and inserted glazed entrance.
