Description

Detached five-bay two-storey farmhouse built c.1750. The east elevation is finished mainly in vertical hung slate while the remainder is finished in render. The front door is obscured by a 1990s glazed lean-to porch. The window openings are mainly flat-headed with replacement top-hung frames. The pitched roof is finished with natural slate and has uPVC rainwater goods. To the rear is a range of mid 19th-century outbuildings. The farmhouse is set within farmland.

Appraisal

Despite the addition of a modern porch, and the loss of original window frames, this mid 18th-century farmhouse is otherwise well preserved. It blends successfully with its rural setting.
