Description

Detached five-bay two-storey country house, built c.1740. To the garden front there is a full-height semi-circular central bow, which may be an early 19th century addition. The walls are finished in roughcast, whilst the slated pitched roof has gable parapets with 'urn' finials and rendered chimneystacks. The windows are flat-headed and are mainly filled with six over six timber sash frames. The doorway to the garden front appears to have originally been a window. The country house is set within a demesne.

Appraisal

Good example of a smaller mid 18th-century "gentry house" with possibly later bowed bay.
