Detached four-bay single-storey school house, dated 1807. The school house is finished in render and has a projecting gabled bay to each side. To the west side is a single-storey later addition with a projecting gabled bay. The flat-headed door opening has been repositioned and now has a replacement door. Window openings are also flat-headed and have replacement multiple pane timber frames. The pitched roof is finished with natural slate to the original section and artificial slate to the addition. Rainwater goods are uPVC. The school house is set back from the roadside behind a hedge.
This school house is a valuable asset to the local heritage. Date stone on one of the gables states that the school house was built by Sir Francis Hutchinson in 1807. The school house is labelled as "Kilfea [sic] School" on the Ordnance Survey County Wicklow Sheet 25.
