Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1900. The house is constructed in red brick with granite dressings. The panelled front door is recessed within a lean-to timber porch. To the north side are two two-storey canted bays with hipped roofs. Window openings have segmental arch heads with timber sash frames. The hipped roof is finished with natural slate, eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods; the chimneystack is in brick with a corbelled cap and clay pots. The house faces the road and is well set back behind a granite wall with castellated coping and wrought-iron railings.
This is a good example of an early 20th-century house which retains its original detailing, character and setting. There are a number of similar examples which combine to maintain the late Victorian / Edwardian appearance of much of the town.
