Gateway, extant 1902, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of repointed "Old Red Sandstone" ashlar diagonal piers having ball finial-topped stepped capping supporting wrought iron double gates. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Dunbrody House.
A gateway forming part of a neat self-contained group alongside a much modified gate lodge with the resulting ensemble not only making a pleasing visual statement in a rural street scene at an entrance on to the grounds of the Dunbrody House estate, but also illustrating the continued development or "improvement" of the estate by Henry "Harry" Spencer Chichester (1821-1906), second Baron Templemore.
