Pier, built 1847-9, on a cranked L-shaped plan with repointed battered walls having rendered rubble limestone soldier course coping. Extended, 1905-9, producing present composition. Set extending into Pollduff.
A pier erected to a design by James Barry Farrell (1810-93), County Surveyor for County Wexford (appointed 1840; retired 1891), representing an integral component of the mid nineteenth-century built engineering heritage of County Wexford.
