Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1900. One of a group of at least four. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, replacement grey brick Running bond chimney stack, c.1975, having concrete capping supporting terracotta pots, rendered coping, and iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves having iron ties. Rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with sills, and one-over-one timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with replacement timber panelled or glazed timber panelled door. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front.
An amiable small-scale house built as one of a group of at least four identical units (remainder in group not included in survey) representing an element of the late nineteenth- or early twentieth-century redevelopment of existing ranges indicated on early editions of the Ordnance Survey. Having been well maintained, the house remains as the last in the group to present an early aspect, thereby upholding some of the character or integrity of an ensemble making a pleasing impression in the street scene with the stepped roofline corresponding with the gradient or incline of the street.
