Terraced two-bay two-storey house, dated 1908. Now in use as offices. One of a pair. Pitched (shared) slate roof with terracotta ridge tiles, red brick (bond not discerned) and rendered (shared) chimney stacks having stepped capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on red brick eaves having saw tooth-profiled course. Rendered, ruled and lined walls with shared cut-granite shield date stone/plaque to first floor. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and two-over-two timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with cut-granite padstones, and timber panelled door having overlight. Interior with timber panelled shutters to window openings. Set back from line of street with rendered plinth boundary wall supporting iron railings, and iron gate [DS].
A pleasantly composed small-scale house built by a now unknown patron ("R.B.") as one of an identical pair (with 15604006) retaining the elementary composition attributes together with most of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, thus making a positive contribution to the streetscape character of Parnell Road.
