Rendered plinth with stringcourse supporting fine roughcast walls having rendered dressings to gable. Square-headed window openings with concrete sills, and timber casement windows incorporating leaded stained glass panels. Elliptical-headed open internal porch with rendered surround, step leading to square-headed door opening with carved timber surround framing timber mullions, and glazed timber panelled door having sidelights on panelled risers. Set back from line of street in own grounds on an elevated site with rendered boundary wall having coping supporting iron railings [VO].
A pleasantly composed house built as one of an identical pair (with 15502082) representing an important element of the interwar development of the suburbs of Wexford Town by private speculators. Having been very well maintained, the house continues to present an early aspect with the elementary composition attributes surviving in place together with most of the original fabric, thus upholding the positive contribution made to the character or streetscape value of Davitt Road North.
