Main entrance gates serving Dunboden Park (15403303), erected c.1815, comprising a pair of rubble limestone piers (on square-plan with dressed limestone capstones over), supporting a pair of decorative wrought-iron gates. Located to the west of Dunboden Park (15403303) with rubble limestone boundary walls (15402625) running away to north and south. Located to the south of Mullingar and to the northwest of Rochfortbridge.
The main entrance gates serving Dunboden Park (15403303), which retains much of its early character and form. This gateway creates an unusually subdued impression when entering the grounds of Dunboden Park and is not in keeping with the splendour of the main house, the stable block (15403306) or the Cooper Mausoleum (15403304). Nevertheless, it forms part of an important collection of structures associated with this historic demesne and is an integral part of the built heritage of the area. A gate lodge previously stood to the northeast of this gate, now demolished. The good quality boundary walls (15402625) surrounding the estate add an historic veneer to the local area and complete the setting of this modest composition.
