Appraisal

An appealing, if simply detailed, late eighteenth-century gateway, which retains its historic integrity and form. This modest gateway remains an attractive feature of architectural merit in the rural landscape to the northwest of Ballymore and forms part of an interesting collection of structures associated with Hallstown House (15401722).
