Detached gable-fronted single-bay single-storey gate lodge serving Dysart House, built c.1850. Now a roofless ruin (originally pitched). Coursed rubble limestone walls with traces of lime render remaining. Square-headed window openings to side elevation (southwest) with remains of diamond-pane metal windows. Pointed-arched doorcase with cut limestone surround. Set back from road adjacent to gates to Dysart House (15401314).
An attractive, if ruinous, gate lodge of early-to-mid nineteenth century appearance. It is interesting that this building has Gothic Revival elements in contrast to the classic Palladian styling of Dysart House itself.
