Detached double-pile six-bay three-storey former malt house, built c.1860, with granary to south. No longer in use. Located within the Liffey Mills complex. Pitched galvanised roof with cast-iron rainwater goods. Segmental-headed window openings to ground floor with square-headed openings to upper floors. Red brick surrounds to some openings. Yellow brick granary adjacent to south with slate roof and vent.
This former store and granary is a reminder of the industrial heritage of Banagher. This granary provides a notable and interesting feature within the streetscape, due to its size and scale. The use of the yellow brick, contrasting with the random stonework of the warehouse, as well as the vent are particularly noteworthy.
