Appraisal

Dempsey Travel Insurance, located on JKL Street is incorporated into the broader street plan. This striking early twentieth-century house has architectural features of note such as a carriage arch and a decorative block-and-start door surround. The central keystone above the fanlight has an unusual carving of a canon in high relief, which according to the building's current owner, was the family symbol of the blacksmith who used to reside in this building.
