Description
Three sided ashlar limestone pyramid mausoleum, built c.1815. Raised lozenges on all sides and inscribed on west elevation.
Appraisal
This mausoleum is an interesting contributor to the architectural heritage of Meath, due to its unusual form. The structure is executed in an unusual manner, with the ashlar masonry set in diagonal courses. Exacting precision is apparent in the treatment of the ashlar, as the stonework fits tightly together, to form an almost smooth surface. Inscribed 'Swifte' on west elevation.
