Detached two-bay single-storey former toll house, built c.1800, now in use as private dwelling. Comprising a canted bay and a recessed bay, with return and extension to rear. Hipped tile roofs with rendered chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls with recessed blind arches and impost mouldings. Timber sash windows with stone sills.
The plan and form of this toll house is of apparent architectural design. The canted bay, which forms five sides of an octagon, is an interesting architectural feature of the building. The recessed blind arches with impost mouldings enliven the façades of this unusual building.
