Description

Pair of semi-detached three-bay single-storey former railway worker's houses, built c.1850, with central breakfronts. Now in use as private dwellings. Hipped slate roofs with brick chimneystacks. Squared rubble stone walls. Timber sash windows with stone sill. Timber battened doors. Flat-roofed extensions to rear.

Appraisal

These former railway worker's houses form part of a group with the related structures at Enfield Railway Station. The modest form of the houses is enhanced by the subtle central breakfronts. The pair retains many original features and materials, such as the slate roofs, timber sash windows, and timber battened doors.
