Description
End-of-terrace four-bay two-storey house, built c.1860. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack. Stone walls. Timber casement windows with stone sills. Round headed stone doorcase with timber panelled door flanked by columns with cornice fanlight above. Wrought-iron and cast-iron railings with bootscraper to front.
Appraisal
The carved stone doorcase is an interesting feature of this building, and adds artistic interest to the plain facade. The wrought- and cast-iron railings and the bootscraper enhance the setting of the house, and also contribute to the streetscape.
