Appraisal

The modest exterior of this church is in many ways representative of Roman Catholic church building in the first half of the nineteenth century in Ireland. The simple form of the building is enhanced by the retention of many interesting features and materials such as the Y-tracery windows and tooled limestone dressings. The church is set on the banks of the River Nanny outside Julianstown.
