Description

Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1830. Hipped slate roof with ashlar chimneystacks. Roughcast rendered walls with render quoins and string course at sill level to first floor. Square-headed windows with stone sills and uPVC windows. Round-arched door opening with original fanlight and replacement door. Renovated outbuildings to north and south.

Appraisal

Hill House contributes to the streetscape and village itself. Its slate roof retains its ashlar chimneystacks, which are not found elsewhere in the village. Although its door and windows have been replaced, it has not lost its doorcase and decorative fanlight, which give the façade character.
