Single-arch railway bridge, built c.1863, now disused. Snecked rock-faced limestone ashlar walls and parapet. Segmental-arch opening with ashlar limestone voussoirs.
The stonework of this bridge is highly finished and well executed. It forms part a group of railway structures in the area with a bridge of a similar design to the north-west. Both bridges crossed a section of the former Oldcastle Branch line of the Great Northern Railway. Its proximity to the road makes it an apparent reminder of the great railway era in Ireland.
