An appealing modest-scale house forming the centrepiece of a self-contained agricultural complex making a pleasing, if subtle impression on the aesthetic value of the local landscape. Distinctive attributes ranging from the profile of the openings to the Classically-derived detailing throughout all serve to enhance the architectural design value of the composition: however, the external expression of the house has not benefited form the insertion of inappropriate replacement fittings to most of the openings. A collection of attendant outbuildings of rustic, almost vernacular quality retains much of the original character, thereby contributing positively to the group and setting values of the site.
