Detached three-bay single-storey corn mill with half-attic, c.1825, probably originally forming part of larger composition. Decommissioned, pre-1903. Refenestrated, c.1975. Now in use as outbuilding. Pitched and hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles, and no rainwater goods on squared rubble stone eaves. Random rubble stone walls with dressed limestone quoins to corners. Square-headed window openings with no sills, lintels, and replacement timber windows, c.1975. Square-headed door openings with lintels, and timber panelled doors. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
Possibly originally forming part of a larger composition a modest-scale mill building represents an important element of the industrial legacy of Kilmaganny having historically supported much of the local agricultural economy since the early nineteenth century. Despite having been long decommissioned the retention of many of the essential attributes together with much of the original fabric maintains the integrity of the composition in the townscape.
