Two-arch rubble stone road bridge over river, c.1750. Irregular coursed squared rubble stone walls with cut-stone triangular cut-waters to pier, rubble stone buttress, and squared limestone rounded coping to parapets. Pair of round arches with cut-limestone voussoirs, and squared limestone soffits having remains of render over. Sited spanning tributary of Kings River with grass banks to river.
A small-scale bridge representing an important artefact of the mid eighteenth-century civil engineering heritage of County Kilkenny. The traditional construction in locally-sourced limestone with dressed accents displaying good quality craftsmanship serves to assimilate the bridge attractively into the surrounding rural landscape.
