Detached six-bay single-storey house, c.1875, probably originally four-bay single-storey. Reroofed, c.1975. Pitched roof with replacement artificial slate, c.1975, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Painted rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills, and one-over-one timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with cut-stone step, and replacement glazed timber panelled door, c.1950, having overlight. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front. (ii) Attached single-bay single-storey outbuilding, c.1875, to west with single-bay single-storey higher range to right. Reroofed, c.1950. Pitched roofs with replacement corrugated-iron, c.1950, having bitumen felt over to higher range, rolled iron ridges, and no rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Limewashed (whitewashed) lime rendered walls over random rubble stone construction. Square-headed door opening with timber boarded door.
An attractive modest-scale range of informal appearance forming a pleasant feature in the streetscape. Well maintained the house presents an early aspect on account of the retention of the original composition attributes together with substantial quantities of the historic fabric. A range of outbuildings of rustic quality, appropriate for the position of the complex in the outskirts of the town as it merges with the rural countryside, enhances the group and setting values of the site.
