Terraced two-bay three-storey house, c.1825. Renovated, c.1900, with shopfront inserted to ground floor. Reroofed. Pitched roof with replacement artificial slate, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls with rendered quoins to ends to upper floors. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills, moulded reveals, and two-over-two timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door having overlight. Timber shopfront, c.1900, to ground floor on symmetrical plan with fixed-pane timber windows (having glazed timber display screens behind), iron mesh double gates leading to glazed timber panelled door having overlight, and fascia over. Interior with timber panelled reveals/shutters to window openings. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
A pleasant modest-scale house retaining most of the original composition attributes together with substantial quantities of the early fabric both to the exterior and to the interior, thereby making a positive contribution to the historic quality of the street scene. A traditional Irish shopfront of some artistic design quality further enhances the visual appeal of the composition at street level.
