Remains of corn mill complex, c.1850, incorporating fabric of earlier corn mill, pre-1840, on site including: (i) Detached three-bay single-storey rubble stone range. Decommissioned, post-1902. Reroofed, c.1975. Now in use as outbuilding. Pitched roof with replacement corrugated-iron, c.1975, iron ridge tiles, and no rainwater goods. Random rubble stone walls with section of unpainted render over. Square-headed window opening with no sill, and timber fitting. Set in shared grounds with rear (south) elevation fronting on to road. (ii) Detached three-bay single-storey rubble stone range to north. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, and no rainwater goods. Random rubble stone walls with traces of unpainted render over. Openings not visible.
An appealing collection of modest-scale ranges originally forming part of a larger corn mill complex representing an important element of the commercial and industrial legacy of Kilmanagh having traditionally supported some of the local agricultural economy. Now accommodating an alternative utilitarian function the assemblage remains an attractive feature in the landscape.
