Description

Attached three-bay two-storey house, c.1900, possibly originally terraced incorporating fabric of earlier range, pre-1840, on site. Pitched artificial slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings with painted sills, and one-over-one timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with glazed timber panelled door. Interior with timber panelled shutters to window openings. Road fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.

Appraisal

Possibly incorporating the fabric of an earlier range indicated on archival editions of the Ordnance Survey a modest-scale house retaining the original form and massing together with most of the historic fabric both to the exterior and to the interior makes a pleasing impression in the streetscape in the Boherboy area of Paulstown or Whitehall (Shankill).
