Single-arch road bridge over river, c.1800. Unpainted fine roughcast walls over random rubble stone construction (part exposed) with rendered coping to parapets. Single elliptical arch with cut-stone voussoirs, and squared rubble stone soffits having render over. Sited spanning River Goul with grass banks leading to overgrown random rubble stone retaining walls to river.
A small-scale bridge forming an important element of the late eighteenth- or early nineteenth-century civil engineering heritage of Urlingford. Cut-stone dressings displaying high quality stone masonry enhance the aesthetic appeal of an otherwise modestly-composed artefact.
