Timber shopfront, c.1900, to ground floor on a symmetrical plan with paired fluted engaged Doric columns on panelled pedestals, fluted pilasters having consoles, fixed-pane timber display windows on panelled risers having overlights, glazed timber panelled double doors having overlight, and fascia over having moulded cornice. A well-composed Classically-proportioned middle-size house built as one of a pair (with 12001010/KK-4766-14-10) contributing significantly to the visual appeal of an historic streetscape. Elegant rendered dressings exhibiting high quality craftsmanship enhance the formal architectural design value of the composition while a particularly fine Classical-style shopfront of artistic design importance enlivens the street presence of the site at street level. Having been well maintained the house presents an early aspect with most of the early fabric surviving intact, thereby enhancing the character of the site in High Street.
