Appraisal

A substantial house distinguished in John Street Lower on account of the occupation of a sizeable footprint contributing to a varied streetscape pattern. Notwithstanding a comprehensive renovation programme the original form and massing survive in place to the upper floor together with some of the original fabric both to the exterior and to the interior, thereby maintaining the positive contribution made to an historic setting.
