Bohereen Church of Ireland School (former), with adjacent school master’s house, is a fine and attractive range that forms an attractive feature in the village of Bohereen. The building is of considerable social and historical interest for its originally intended purpose as a parish-funded centre of education. The composition of the building is somewhat unusual, with the placement of the school to the rear (north-east) of the site, having the school master’s house fronting on to the road. The building, although only in fair condition, retains much of its original character, features and materials, including timber sash fenestration (some with exposed sash boxes), timber doors and slate roofs.
