Single-arch rubble stone aqueduct, c.1780, with cut-stone coping. Random rubble stone walls. Cut-stone coping. Single-round arch. Rendered voussoirs. Sited spanning stream leading to/off Grand Canal.

Appraisal

This aqueduct is an unassuming feature related to the development of the Grand Canal in Robertstown. The construction of the arch is of technical interest, while the associations with the Grand Canal ensure its social and historical significance.
