Appraisal

This small group of buildings, possibly originally intended as a workshop with attendant labourer’s cottage, is an attractive feature in the grounds of Saint Patrick’s College. Of social and historical interest, the buildings represent a facet of the development and maintenance of the college in the mid nineteenth century. The buildings remain in fair condition and retain some important early or original features and materials, including timber boarded doors and slate roofs having cast-iron rainwater goods.
