Corner-sited detached three-bay single-storey bow-fronted former gate lodge, c.1840, now used as a private house. Extended and altered in the mid twentieth century. Roughcast rendered walls. Timber casement windows. Hipped and curved slate roof. Flat-roofed extension to rere with glazed timber entrance door. Cylindrical rendered gate pier and iron bar half-moon gate to west.
An unusual building with a highly distinctive roof profile, which partly retains its original proportions. Together with the attached vernacular pier and gateway, which by happy coincidence echoes the curve of the bow of the lodge, forms a group which enhances the roadway onto which it fronts.
